"Married on Monday last by rhe Rev. S. Holland at Sixmilebridge church, Richard Falkner Stoney Esq, eldest son of Thomas Stoney of Emilie Castle, King's Co Esq to Jane 2nd dau of James Butler of Castle Crine Esq" - Limerick Evening Post, 15 Feb. 1812.

'Some newer annals of the Stoney family' (Epping, NSW: the author, 2008) gives his date of death as 3 June 1830. Joseph Jackson Howard and Frederick Arthur Crisp, Visitation of Ireland, vol. 2 (London, 1898), p. 10, gives the date of death as 5 June 1830.
