Pollatschek Genealogy and Pollatschek Family History Information

The Pollatscheks of Aussig (Ústí nad Labem) were the family of Hermann Pollatschek, a native of Kolin, eventually Einzelprokurist (CEO) of the important coal firm I. Petschek. Many Pollatscheks (also Polatschek, Poláček) appear in the records of the Jewish community of Kolin. The name seems to be a diminutive form of Polák (=Pole), which suggests that an ancestor may have immigrated from Poland.
